The eagle holds a significant place in American culture, symbolising strength, freedom, and independence. The bald eagle, in particular, is the national bird and emblem of the United States. It was chosen in 1782 as part of the Great Seal due to its majestic appearance, long lifespan, and association with freedom.
The eagle frequently appears in government seals, currency, military insignia, and other official imagery. It represents ideals like liberty, courage, and perseverance, reflecting a nation’s identity and values.
